November 2nd-7th was a busy
week for our HOSA members! Throughout the fundraising we still managed to have
endless fun. All students of Elko High School got to participate in HOSA Week
dress up days, lunch activities, and after school excitement as follows:
Monday- ‘Merica Monday and Board Game Night
Tuesday- Scrub Day and Nighttime Scavenger Hunt
Wednesday- Sports Fan Day and Orange Sale
Thursday- Fake an Injury Day and Chicken Drop
Friday- HOSA/Spirit Pride Day
Fun facts about the different cancers were educated
to students in the morning announcements and in posters made by our members
that filled the hallways. We also advertised our LLS-Pennies for Patients
fundraiser by giving informational speeches about them to every class. To end
the week on a friendly note, we gave appreciation gifts to school nurses at all
Elko schools.
