Editorial-
With the State Leadership Competition being right around the corner, HOSA members are hurriedly preparing in every way possible. A grand total of 46 students will be competing at the SLC in Reno, NV, where we will be staying at The Nugget. Events our chapter is competing in include; everyone taking the Healthcare Issues Exam, 1 member in Biomedical Laboratory Science, 4 teams in CPR and First Aid, 2 teams in EMT, 6 teams in Forensic Medicine, 1 team in HOSA Bowl, 1 team in Health Career Display, 1 member in Job Seeking Skills, 5 member in Medical Assisting, 1 member in Health Career Photography, 1 member in Medical Spelling, 3 members in Nursing Assisting, and finally 4 members in Physical Therapy. As a whole group, our chapter will be showcasing our involvement in Chapter Reflection, HOSA Happenings, and our National Service Project. All members will also participate in the social and networking aspects of the State Leadership Competition by being a member of Courtesy Corp. and interacting in Educational Symposiums. Throughout this year of HOSA we should acknowledge our members for many hours dedicated to volunteer service and fundraising for the National Alliance of Mental Illness. Our HOSA Chapter will make the most out of the 2017 State Leadership Competition starting March 20th and retuning March 22nd. We are all excited to create new experiences, new friendships, and new memories. Wishing good luck to all, and we hope to see you there!
